Usually too many carbs are the cause. They let the blood sugar level increase and therefore also increase the insulin secretion. Just as quickly, the decline in blood glucose occurs, so a strong appetite and cravings are the result. And although the last meal was recent, you feel hungry again. Almost all low carb diets are striving to prevent this phenomenon with the idea that no large amounts of carbohydrates are to be eaten. These include the LOGI method, the Atkins diet or the South Beach Diet. Usually, it is sufficient to pay attention to the recommendations of nutrition experts: They recommend a carbohydrate content of 50% of one’s overall diet.
Furthermore, when slimming, it is also important to drink plenty of fluids. At least 2 liters of water or unsweetened tea should be consumed each day. Drinking has even been known to reduce the appetite. Sometimes, when one becomes thirsty, it is wrongly interpreted as a slight feeling of hunger. According to nutrition experts, this misunderstanding results in too many unnecessary snacks. Even a glass of water about half an hour before your next meal can reduce the appetite and ensures the feeling of fullness when eating.
